Same work. Said like it counts.
Most warehouse associate resumes describe the job. Hiring managers look for the scale and the result. Here is the move, on one line.
Picked and packed orders in the warehouse.
Picked and packed about 140 orders a shift with an RF scanner, ran a stand-up forklift, and went 14 months without a safety incident.
Illustrative example. It shows the method; it is not a real person’s resume.
Use your own numbers. If you do not know a figure, leave it out. A guessed number can cost you the interview.
What recruiters scan for first.
A first pass on a resume is quick. These five things should be easy to find in that time, ideally in the top third of the page.
- Equipment you are certified on: forklift type, order picker, pallet jack.
- Your rate: picks, cases or orders per hour or per shift, if your site tracked it.
- Accuracy and safety record.
- Scanners and systems you used, named.
- Shift and availability, since most postings list a set shift.

Warehouse associate resume questions.
Do I need a resume for warehouse jobs?
Many postings let you apply without one, but a short resume helps when you have forklift certification or a strong rate to show.
How do I list a forklift certification?
Put it in its own line: the equipment type, who certified you, and the year. If you are certified on more than one machine, list each one.
What if I have no warehouse experience?
Use jobs with similar work: stocking at a store, deliveries, moving furniture. Name the physical work, the pace, and the safety rules you followed.
Nearby roles.
Skills carry between jobs more than titles suggest. If you are weighing a move, the guides for cashier and retail store manager resumes use the same method on their own postings, and so do the ones for registered nurse and teacher roles. Every guide we have built is listed on the resume guides page.
